Sterling and Leesburg, Virginia, September 8, 2003 – Miele, Pro-Team, and Simplicity -- three brands of vacuum cleaners sold by Potomac Vacuums and Appliances (PVA) of Virginia are certified with "Green Label" of superior air quality by the Carpet and Rug Institute.
The "Green Label" certification means that the individual models of these 4 brands
• Remove soil,
• Contain dust within the filtration bag and the machine itself, keeping it out of the air,
• Don't damage the carpet and help keep its appearance looking good.
Vacuum cleaners must meet all three elements of the Standard in order to obtain authorization to display the official CRI Indoor Air Quality Testing Program Label or CRI Logo.
Sterling and Leesburg (Virginia) based Potomac Vacuums and Appliances (PVA) was established in 1990 as "Discount Vacuums." It was re-organized in 2002 as a women-owned company under an expanded ownership.
